Corrections & Removal
Verified information has an expiry date — ryokan policies change with new management, new rules, and new seasons. This page explains how corrections work and how properties can request changes.
If you’re a traveler
If your experience at a property differed from what we published (for example, you were refused entry to a bath our page said was tattoo-friendly), please tell us with the property name, the date, and what happened. We will:
- Mark the affected item as Conflicting information or Needs reconfirmation within a few days,
- Re-verify with the property directly,
- Update the page and its “last checked” date.
Traveler reports are treated as leads, not facts — but they are the most valuable trigger we have for re-verification.
If you represent a property
宿泊施設の方は日本語でご連絡いただけます(宿泊施設の皆様へ)。
If information about your property is outdated or incorrect, or if you no longer wish to be listed, contact us via the Contact page. We will correct or remove the listing promptly after confirming the request comes from the property.
Our correction principles
- We prefer visible corrections over silent edits: when a policy changes materially, we update the verification date and note the change.
- We do not argue with a property about its own policy. The property’s current answer wins.
- We never leave a known-wrong fact published while re-verifying — it gets flagged immediately.
